  2. A client knew John was looking and I was looking. He was their vendor also. So when I was there, doing what sales reps do, they called him and got him to come over and they introduced us. He asked me out for lunch. We had a 3 hour lunch (yes, sales reps have awesome freedoms.) My client said that John was not sure if i liked him, since I am a sales person and know how to put people at ease. I relied, "bullshit, we had a THREE HOUR LUNCH!." They told him what I said and three weeks later he was buying me red high heels for my February birthday!!!!!!!********** We got married 11 months and 3 weeks after we met. We are best friends! Everyone should marry their best friend!

  4. Love your giveaway! *Ü* I met my hubby while singing in a church concert during college. I thought he was really cute, but he was so shy, he barely talked with me at the potluck after service (even though I could tell during the concert he had been staring at me!). A few weeks later, I was running through my dorm lobby and I heard a guy yell out "HEY!" Everyone's head turned and it was Kraig, who had been visiting a friend who unknown to him, also lived in my same dorm. He was so excited to see me again, he did what he could to get my attention while he had the chance. He asked me out to lunch the next day and I happily agreed. Our "lunch" date ended up lasting about 14 hours because we were having so much fun just being together! Three dates in, we both knew we were "the one" for each other and this past December we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. He's still my best friend and still brings me flowers "just because…" *Ü*

We started hanging nearly every weekend than almost every day and now we live together and its been 3 great years!!

  6. ooh I like this! I meet my sweetie when I least expected I had been temping at a company, meanwhile trying to get a permanent job as a flight attendant, but since jobs were so scarce I took a permanent position where I was temping at and before I knew it this quiet/shy guy took me out to lunch, then the company party and now fast forward to today few years later and we are planning now a wedding :o).

  7. I met my hubby at a county fair when I was 15 and he was 16. We fell madly in love (what did we know about love as teenagers) but we did! We got married a few years later and still smitten over each other 16 years later ;)

  8. Todd and I met in the dorm cafeteria our freshman year of college. He sat with my friend and me at breakfast because we had just from the gym (sweaty/no makeup) and thought we must be cool or laid back or not superficial or something like that. We became close friends for a few months, then one Easter weekend getaway later he kissed me and we've been in a whirlwind romance ever since!

  9. Love these stories!! I met my husband in one of my classes in college. He apparently used to sit in the front row and I always sat in the back row with my then boyfriend. One day I went to class and my now husband was sitting in the back row next to my usual seat so I had to sit between him and my boyfriend. Rather awkward! But he immediately introduced himself and we chatted and chatted and, well, that was the last day of the boyfriend, lol! We were engaged 6 months later and have been married 27 yrs! He'll always be my best friend :-)

  10. I was attending an educational conference my sweetie was coordinating. He chose to audit one of the classes I was taking. In my quite shy way, I challenged the instructor with one of his theories. During a break, Richard came forward to see my name tag and that evening followed me to dinner. (Literally followed. Waited until I was on the bus and sat behind me). While waiting in line for a cocktail, he caught my attention and we talked until the others had almost finished their dinners. I sat down to eat, then decided he was much more interesting that those around me. He still fascinates me to this day, and he loves me more than words can ever express.

  11. I met mine while he was helping a family friend set up a swimming pool, I was fifteen he was 21, and boy did my parents try to talk me out of going out with him, but as all parents know, if you say don't do something, teenagers are sure going to do it. I have been married to him for 27 wonderful years, so maybe the teenager I was back then knew something after all :)

  18. uniquecozytreasures- Love the earrings! I met my sweetheart through his mother, actually. She tricked us into meeting one another by inviting me to visit her and her husband for a week. My now sweetie arrived about a half hour after I arrived, slipped me away on his motorcycle, then took me out to dinner, stole a kiss and we stayed up all night talking and we were hooked. We spent many years in a long distance relationship so that we could take care of our elderly parents before we could permanently be together. We've been best friends now for 11 years and he is the greatest.

  19. Beautiful earrings :) I met my husband at a club! I was with my single ladies and we do fabulously tear up the dance floor. He asked for my number, I gave him my screen name instead, and through chatting online I realized he is a sweet super-smart nerd who makes me laugh and is not a creep! :)

  20. oooh great giveaway,
so, the shortened version of how I met my sweetheart. We were introduced by a mutual friend. I went to college with his high school friend. She 'tricked' us into a blind date by saying she was having lunch with her old friend, but her jealous bf insisted on coming along, and so she needed another girl to even the balance. Long story short, he asked me out and we've been dating since. He's the best, that pretty much sums him up. He's the only one who can make me forget being angry, sad, in pain... He's nice, smart, funny... and a bit shy in a cute way, but there I go blabbing :)

  21. I met my fiance through my friend. She had been dating him at the time, but then they broke up because they were always fighting. He was there for me and I was there for him and we started to get closer and closer until eventually, while listening to music, he asked me what I'd do if he asked me out. I shrugged, and said "I suppose I'd say yes" he said good and bent down to kiss me, "How's it feel to never be single again?"
